Other Things About Me

Please note: I am very happily Brooklyn-based!  I am able to travel to the Boston area with travel reimbursements for events serving ten or more, or I am able to accomodate smaller groups within NYC. If you are seeking a private chef for an intimate dinner of 2-4 in MA, I recommend you look to the other talented chefs on this site. Unfortnately, at this time I am not able to travel for small events.

  • Tara's Bachelorette weekend cooking lesson for 12 in Westerly , RI

Written by Katharine S. on 2013-06-04

Danya provided a terrific evening of cooking lesson and dining for my sister's bachelorette weekend. We were thoroughly impressed by her thoughtful selection of cheeses as a starter. She even provided a history of each cheese! I also appreciated her adaptability when I informed her very last minute that one of our guests was vegetarian. She was easily able to adapt the menu to include this late-notice dietary restriction. The food was absolutely delicious. My friends were raviing about the meat the whole rest of the weekend. She was also very flexible. She understood that we wanted to learn but also wanted to just spend time with the bride-to-be and one another. Thus, she provided just the right balance of instruction and demonstration. I only feel bad that we were sometimes too rowdy for her to get all of our attentiont, as Danya was more soft spoken than some of my outgoing guests.

I am very grateful for Danya's expertise, adaptability and overeall thoughtful and kind demeanor. She provided just what we needed in order to kick off my sister's bachelorette weekend. If I decide to host a similar cooking event in the future, I will definitely think of Danya.
