In order to acclimate myself to the real culinary world, I pursued internships at three different restaurants, namely Rialto, Trade, and Journeyman. I obtained a rich set of culinary skill set, which I then leveraged to start my own business. As such, I incorporated Kantrow Catering, in February 2013, and since then I have been working as a privately certified chef. I have been employed by numerous clients ranging from organizations to individuals. My bigger clients have included Advanced Practice Strategies, MassArt, Harvard Law School, Boston Interactions, and Night Shift Brewery.

Chef Gita Kantrow's Specialties

My style of cooking is more on the fusion style but I am flexible and can cater to their taste buds. I do not adhere to a ‘set’ menu, so I work in close proximity with my clients throughout the process. I leverage my background on global cuisine knowledge to develop dishes that always use local produce, and are fresh and prepared on-site. In essence, I make the process for my clients’ very fluid, with constant room for flexibility.

    Chef Gita was great for our family Valentines dinner!

    She and her helper were very friendly and professional.  As far as the food, we especially enjoyed the sweet potato sushi, and warm eggplant salad.  Also the chicken satay with avocado cilantro sauce and parsnip risotto was very tasty.

    Definitely recommend!
